Our ceilidhs feature a superb visiting Scottish traditional band!
A ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a social gathering, with song, dance, tunes and stories, and a drink and bite to eat.
Our ceilidhs feature a superb visiting Scottish traditional band, and local pipers, singers and instrumentalists. There will be a chance to join in with the dances, and a caller and volunteer partners will be ready to help if you don’t know the dances. If you prefer, you can just sit and watch the dancers and listen to the musicians.
During the interval, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some home-baking, all included in the admission price. Our ceilidhs are not licensed, but you are welcome to bring your own wine or beer. Soft drinks are available to purchase. There will also be a raffle in aid of a local good cause.
Our ceilidhs are suitable for all ages, and we have good access and toilets for disabled visitors. We advise arriving in good time if you want a seat.
